School Bookings FAQs

 

When will my school have to pay for the trip?
Payment must be received two weeks after an invoice is sent to the school, or three weeks before the school’s visit.

Are teachers’ tickets free for schools’ parties?
For every 10 tickets booked by a school, we supply one free ticket for a teacher. Tickets for additional teachers are charged at the school ticket price.

Does the Unicorn have a risk assessment?
Yes. A copy of this will be sent out with our invoice for your records.

Is the building accessible for disabled children?
Yes, the Unicorn is fully accessible for wheelchair users and people with mobility difficulties. We also have an extensive access programme - for more information or call the box office to discuss your requirements.

Can we pre-order ice-creams?
Yes, and it is cheaper to do so. Please advise box office of your requirements at the time of booking.

What time should our party arrive?
Schools groups should aim to arrive 30 minutes before the show begins.

Is there a space for the children to eat lunch?
We have a limited amount of seating available for classes wishing to eat lunch before or after a show. If you would like your class to eat lunch at the theatre, please let the Box Office know at the time of booking.

Is there a coach drop-off point?
Groups can be dropped off outside Southwark Crown Court, on English Grounds just off Battlebridge Road. To reach the theatre from the Court, follow the signs to Unicorn Theatre. No waiting - coaches can only pick up and drop off here.

Can teachers come to the theatre to do a recce prior to the school’s visit?
Yes, but an appointment must be made. Contact the Box Office on 020 7645 0560.

Is VAT included in the ticket prices?
Ticket prices for visiting productions include VAT, and Unicorn Company shows are VAT exempt.
