FAQs


What does ‘unreserved seating’ mean?
This means you can choose your seats when you arrive. Doors open early to allow enough time for you to decide where you would like to sit.

Will we all be able to sit together?
We will always endeavour to sit parties together where possible, even when you book your tickets at different times, but we advise arriving 30 mins before the performance starts to avoid disappointment.

What happens if I am late for a performance?
Latecomers may not be admitted unless there is a suitable break in the performance and in some cases, this may mean that if you are late, you will be unable to see the performance.

Are children who are below or above the guideline age range still allowed to see the show?
Yes, the age range is a guideline only, and this decision is at the discretion of the guardian.

Is the building accessible for disabled children?
Yes, the Unicorn is fully accessible for wheelchair users and people with mobility difficulties. We also have an extensive access programme, please go to the access section for more information or call the box office to discuss your requirements.

Can babies come to see a show with the family?
Yes. Children under 18 months old can come to shows free of charge (unless the show in question is designed specifically for children under 18 months), but please let Box office know if you intend to bring a baby.

Are there baby changing facilities at the theatre?
Yes.The male and female toilets and the welfare room on the basement level have baby change facilities.

Is there somewhere to store my pram/wheelchair/pushchair?
Yes, and there is no charge for this.

Can children see the show unaccompanied?
Yes, under certain circumstances. If your child is under 12 please call the Box Office to discuss your requirements.

Can we bring a packed lunch?
We have a limited amount of seating available for schools wishing to eat lunch before or after a show. If you would like your class to eat lunch at the theatre, please let the Box Office know at the time of booking.

Is eating allowed in the auditorium?
Yes, although we ask that you avoid ‘noisy’ foods such as crisps.

Does the Unicorn offer birthday party packages?
Yes. For more information on birthday bookings, email admin@unicorntheatre.com

Can  tickets be reserved to be paid for on arrival?
No. Advance bookings must be paid for prior to the show.

Can tickets be bought on the day?
Yes, tickets can be bought ‘on the door’, subject to availability for that performance.

Does the Unicorn offer group discounts?
Yes. We offer one free ticket for every 10 tickets bought.

If I cannot attend a performance, can I get a refund on my tickets?
No refunds are given unless a performance is cancelled. However, tickets can be exchanged for another performance in the same production, subject to availability and at the discretion of the Box Office. To provide this service we require you to return the original tickets to us at least 48 hours before the performance.

Can someone other than the cardholder collect tickets from the box office?
In this instance, it is best to contact the Box Office in advance of collecting your tickets.

Can tickets be sent to an address other than the billing one?
Yes, provided an alternative delivery address is supplied at the time of booking.
