News Story
The Unicorn’s Creative Hub has collaborated with children at Great Ormond Street Hospital, Sheffield Children’s Hospital with Sheffield Theatres, and Alder Hey Children’s Hospital to capture the voices of children with experience of hospital care from across the U.K. This work has ensured that whilst much of this production of Pig Heart Boy exists in a world of science fiction, we remain connected with lived experience of children receiving hospital care.
Curated in association with the show’s director Tristan Fynn-Aiduenu, four poets and our young Creative Associates have taken material from these sessions to create a series of original poems, exploring the themes of Joy, Hope and Imagination. All poems have been recorded by children on this project.
